About me

As a proud Latina and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my work is deeply shaped by my upbringing in the vibrant border community of San Ysidro and my bilingual and bicultural identity. With extensive experience in social work, psychotherapy, and education, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges and life transitions, particularly those in the Latinx and border communities. My holistic approach integrates assessment, intervention, collaboration, education, and cultural sensitivity to honor each client’s unique experiences and promote overall mental well-being.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to advocating for vulnerable communities, breaking down barriers to mental health care, and ensuring access to essential resources. I have particular expertise in child and adolescent mental health, providing thorough assessments and personalized therapy. By collaborating closely with families, educators, and other professionals, I craft holistic treatment plans that support the well-being of young clients while respecting the cultural nuances that shape their lives.

In addition to my clinical practice, I mentor and supervise fellow social workers, fostering their growth and professional development. My work is rooted in evidence-based practices and a deep dedication to creating positive, lasting change in the lives of those I serve.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish time with my husband, our son who recently started college, and our golden doodle, Lola. Together, we enjoy road trips, beach days, and the joy Lola brings to our lives. When I’m not with them, you can find me reading, cycling, or cooking while enjoying the rhythm of good music—often reflecting on the strength and resilience of the community I am proud to serve.
